5-step roof installation process
Installation typically takes 1-2 days
Arrival
The crew and the project manager arrive in the morning and create a game plan.
Tear Off
The current roof is torn off. This is the messy part where most problems occur. It is very important to stay away from the job as materials are flying everywhere.
Inspection
The crew will inspect your decking to ensure that there is no rot, and that we are nailing to a solid nailable surface.
Installation
First the roof is “dried in.” This means the felt is covering the roof, and the drip edge is installed – making it water tight. After this the shingles and other components are installed.
Clean Up
At this point, the yard is rolled with a magnetic roller to pick up nails, the job is inspected by the foreman, and the crew leaves. The job is also inspected by the project manager. Also, it is important to note that the owner inspects every roof that is built.
